Dave Moran (left) and Ben Curwood (right)
Eastbourne Dynamos are proud to announce that David Moran is to take on the role of First Team Manager for the new season. He will be accompanied by Assistant Manager and Coach, Ben Curwood.
The two are both well known to the Dynamos players, having been signed on since the club started, while Ben is continuing his role as Coach from last season.
We wish them, and the Team, good luck for the new season. The new management team have already cast their eyes over the players at the first Training session last night, but the club are still on the lookout for new players.
Training has already started, and takes place every Tuesday evening at
Sevenoaks Recreation Ground for a 7pm start. The club are on the lookout
for players, whatever age or skill level. If you are interested just
turn up to a training session.
Eastbourne Dynamos capped of the season with their annual Quiz and Awards Night, which was held at the Arlington Arms this year on Saturday 11th June. The Quiz and Raffle helped raise vital funds for the club as they look to continue their success into next season.
The main event was the awards, with Martin Bell picking up a memento for passing the 100 appearances mark. Damien Mills was awarded the Most Improved Player award, while Neil Taylor walked away with Supporters Player and Managers Player. The Players Player award, was shared by Christian Corder-Courtier and Alex Speirs, who could not be split, even with a second vote.
The Club would like to thank Gary Taylor for his services to the club as Manager, and are sad to see him go as he hands over the reins. His final act as Manager was to hand out the end of season awards.
Attentions now turn to preparations for next season. Details of the Management Team for next season will be announced in due course.
Training will begin on Tuesday 5th July, at Sevenoaks Recreation Ground for a 7pm start. This will continue until we move to floodlights. Click here for a map.
All new and existing players are welcome and we look forward to the start of the new season.
Eastbourne Dynamos continued their strong finish to the season with a hard earned point against Title chasing Ticehurst.
Dynamos were looking to get revenge on Ticehurst for knocking them out of the cup earlier this season, plus Dynamos were looking to complete their first double over a team this season.
Stephen Fletcher twice drew Eastbourne level, preventing Ticehurst going top of the table.
The draw concludes Dynamos season in which their aim of Division 2 survival was reached with games to spare.
The committee would like to thank everyone involved with the club for another successful season, and we look forward to next season. Please keep an eye on this website for details of the awards night and for when training will commence for the new season.
