Monday 27th August 2007

Eastbourne Dynamos Football Club finished their pre-season schedule with a 3-2 victory over last season's Division 3 winners. Another patched up Dynamos team fell behind to a brilliant finish from the Common player whose shot hit the far post before ending up in the back of the net.

Jamie Drummond then levelled things with his first goal for the club when he coolly slotted past the keeper when one on one.

Neil Taylor gave Dynamos the lead with about 20 minutes to go when he placed the ball past the keeper after bringing the ball down. The visitors were soon level when Dynamos failed to clear a corner far enough and the Common midfielder fired the ball for outside the area, through a crowd of people and past Bell in the Eastbourne goal.

Jose Rodrigues cheekily flicked the ball over the keeper before heading into an empty net with only a few minutes left to give Dynamos the win.

Monday 20th August 2007

Dynamos put on a rather poor display after a bright start to lose 3-1 to Old Town Athletic at Old Town.

Eastbourne were missing a few key players, and some that did make the squad were struggling with injuries.

Neil Taylor got the only goal for Eastbourne to pull them level at 1-1 after the keeper failed to deal with his shot.

Manager Gary Taylor will be hoping for a better performance next week against Division 3 Champions Little Common.

The scores for the weekend are currently unavailable due to The Sun's website being shut down after too many people tried to log onto it. I hope to have the scores loaded later today, if not then it may be tomorrow.

In the mean time you can view other teams and your own by looking at the table.

Monday 30th July 2007

On Sunday, Dynamos played their first pre-season friendly against Sunday League side Eastbourne Revolution on Astro Turf at Eastbourne Sports Park. The early kick off meant a few Dynamos players were unavailable.

This did not stop Dynamos running out 5-1 winners. Mark Likeman, Neil Taylor(2) Jamie Drummond and Michael Rodrigues penalty put Dynamos 5-0 up at half time.

Dynamos seemed to take their foot off the pedal in the second half a wasted numerous chances before Revolution got on the score sheet with a long range effort.

Should any current or possible sponsors be reading, our website stats have proved that our website is very popular amongst players, fans and opponents.

In the last year, this very website has received 342,780 hits. This peaked in November 2006, when we received 39,770 hits for that month alone.

Vistor numbers continue to grow, but have suffered a dip since the end of the season due to few website updates. We will look into filling this issue for next season. Interest is starting to pick up again when training for the new season starting 2 weeks ago.

As for the team, we have one friendly already in place for Saturday 25th August against Little Common III, last seasons Div 3 winners. We also have a friendly pencilled in for the 18th August, but this has yet to be confirmed. We are also looking at a mid-week game.

Details of any further games will appear here once they have been confirmed.

Tuesday 3rd July 2007

A reminder for all players that Training will start this Wednesday (Tomorrow) at 7pm down at Princess Park. All new players are welcome. Membership forms will be available from tomorrow night.

The website is currently being updated ready for the new season. All the old tables and results are being stored in the archives section. If a link doesn't work or you can't find something, then let me know because I probably have forgotten something.

The final Dream Team table has been updated now. I forgot to put the final one on the web after the awards night, but everyone who won something has already received they winnings.

The Eastbourne Dynamos Team

Eastbourne Dynamos held their first awards night on Saturday, and we have finally managed to get all the pictures onto the website now.

Thanks to everyone who turned up to make it a really enjoyable night for everyone. The staff at the Hogs Head said that we were the friendliest and the nicest group they have had there!

Well done to everyone who won an award, though we feel everyone deserved one.

Training will officially start the first Wednesday in July down at Princess Park with hopefully a few more bits of training equipment paid for by the money raised by the raffle on Saturday.

The Season has finally come to an end with all games having now been played. Dynamos finished 4 points ahead of Wittersham so there was some distance between us and the relegation zone (7 points).

The Dynamos 5-a-side Tournament has had to be cancelled because we have not been able to fill all the spaces required. We are now looking at holding a smaller tournament next year, with more games being played and a cheaper entry fee.

Supporters and Players are reminded that the awards night is on Saturday 2nd June 2007 at the Hogs Head for an 8pm start!

Monday 7th May 2007

Eastbourne Dynamos ended their season as it started, with a narrow 1-0 defeat in a game they feel they should have got something from.

Dynamos dominated long periods of the game against Battle Baptists but failed to create some clear cut chances and turn them into goals, which sums up Dynamos first season.

Eastbourne players have agreed to continue to train through the summer up at Old Town Rec in order to prepare for next season. Players and supporters are also reminded that the Clubs first Awards night will take place on Saturday June 2nd at the Hogs Head. Can all players and supporters who have not handed in their vote for Players Player to Dean yet, please do so as soon as possible.

The Club would also like to thank all players, supporters and management that have helped out this season and we look forward to next season.
