Eastbourne Dynamos took their first adventure away from Old Town Rec to the Bulverhythe of Bexhill Road to play Beulah Baptists.

Dynamos were sporting their Yellow and Black change strip and Manager Gary Taylor had another hard week where 10 players were unavailable due to other commitments and injuries. Only 5 players from last weeks starting 11 remained.

Eastbourne got off to a very shaky start, and struggled to settle while Beulah seemed confident following their victory last week.

Beulah enjoyed much of the early possession, but failed to really test Chris Milnes in the Eastbourne goal. In fact it was Dynamos who broke the deadlock on 17 minutes when good play down the right allowed Neil Taylor to set up Siamack Pour who calmly slotted into the bottom right hand corner for his first goal for the club on his debut.

3 minutes later thought, Baptists where level when the ball across the Dynamos goal was blasted into the back of the net.

Dynamos where claiming for a penalty on 30 minutes after a foul on Neil Taylor, but the referee wasn't having any of it. Pour was then close to doubling his tally and his team's when his shot went just wide of the upright.

It was then Beulah's turn to go close to taking the lead when a snap shot from the midfielder had Chris Milnes beaten. Luckily it came back of the post and was cleared away by the Eastbourne defence.

Then into first half injury time, Baptists took the lead for the first time in the game after some quick play left the Dynamos defence static.

After the break, Beulah seemed to build on their last goal, as Dynamo's couldn't cope, looking tired and beaten already. Their hopes of getting anything for this game seemed to be slipping through their fingers. The yellows were also guilty of silly mistakes that put themselves under unneeded pressure.

Chris Milnes made two fantastic saves from the Beulah substitute, the pick of the bunch being a one on one when the striker tried to take it round the Eastbourne keeper.

A throw in from Dynamos back to their own keeper was penalised by the referee, and the resulting free kick flashed across the Eastbourne goal and was sent goal wards by the Beulah player and the referee awarded a goal. Eastbourne Dynamos players protested that it didn't end up in the back of the net but that it hit the side netting. The referee awarded the goal.

Dynamos were punished again when a shot from just inside the area went past Chris Milnes and finished in the bottom right hand corner.

Eastbourne Dynamos were now looking at a heavy defeat, and two games without a point. Then in the 76th minute, Wayne Burke sparked life into the Dynamos when he won the ball in the Baptists half before creating space for himself and shooting from outside the Beulah area, which sailed just over the keeper and into the net. Suddenly the Eastbourne players had woken up and now had a lot more confidence and were battling for every ball and winning every challenge.

Mark Likeman seemed to be soldiering on despite the dead leg he picked up in the first half. He brushed past one player before shooting from well outside the area, the Beulah keeper managed to save the shot, but couldn't hold onto it and Siamack Pour managed to get to the rebound before anyone else and put it into the back of the net to put Dynamos well and truly back in the game on 78 minutes.

The amazing comeback was complete when Mark Likeman again weaved past the Beulah midfielder, but his powerful shot was again saved by the keeper, and was again only parried away from goal. This time it was Craig Ross who managed to get to the ball first before the oncoming keeper and closing defender and slip the ball past the keeper and into the back of the net for his first goal for the club.

With the scores level, both teams had chances to win the game, and the game was more of a contest now than earlier. Beulah had the last chance to win the game when they were awarded a free kick centre of goal, just outside the area. Chris Milnes managed to tip the effort that followed over the bar.

In the end, Eastbourne Dynamos were please to have come away with anything, but will have to play a lot better if they are to get anything from next weeks game. At least they have managed to secure a point when they are missing a lot of players.
