After last weeks victory over second placed Hawkhurst, Dynamos had another big game in the form of a local derby against The Red Lion.

Dynamos fielded virtually the same team that won last week with Ben Curwood swapping places with Dave Moran.

Dynamos got off to the better start, winning most of the possession and going forward at every opportunity. But they didn't really test the Lion's keeper.

Dynamos put a few efforts just wide and over, but failed to hit the target. At the half wore on, Lion enjoyed more possession and did hold Dynamos in their own half for periods.

The game was evenly matched with defences getting the better of the forwards.

Dynamos captain Austin Ward had the best of the first half chances for Dynamos, when his shot following a lose ball in the area after a Dynamos corner went over the bar from just outside the six yard box.

The second half became a little more stretched but still the defences of each team were holding strong and the game really did look like it might be heading for a draw.

With twenty minutes left, the home side found the breakthrough when their speedy striker latched onto a ball just over the defenders head and he coolly slotted past Martin Bell who was left far too exposed by his team mates.

Dynamos didn't let heads drop and did start to create a few more chances. Dean Pugh went close on the edge of the area but the keeper saved. Then Darren Vine had another effort from outside the area tipped over the bar by the keeper when it looked to be heading in.

A last few corners by Dynamos resulted in nothing much, and Lion managed to keep hold of the ball when it mattered and run down the clock.

Dynamos will look to get back to winning ways against Pebsham Sibex next week, as both teams sit level on points in the table. Should be an interesting clash.
