Eastbourne Dynamos faced Catsfield as their next opponents who where fresh from their 7-0 victory last week. Dynamos manager Gary Taylor was facing another week of selection problems with 11 registered players unavailable for various reasons, but did allow a few players their debut.

The patched up team took a long time to settle as the first few minutes of the game where very scrappy with neither team really in control. Catsfield did manage to control the game bit by bit, but it took a good tackle and then a clearing header form James Smith to keep the game scoreless.

Simon Burke, Dynamos third keeper in as many games, made a good save from the Catsfield midfield when he shot from just outside the area.

Catsfield continued to heap more pressure on Dynamos, who failed to keep hold of the ball and where showing no signs of the fight the management were calling for from the sidelines. On 13 minutes Dynamos found themselves behind when Catsfields winger managed to block J. Smith's clearance and with only the keeper to beat, he stuck the ball away confidently into the top right hand corner.

Dynamos did manage to hold their own for a while but things still didn't seem to click, but where fortunate to get back in the game on 30 minutes after some good closing down from Jeff Ferguson and Lloyd Taylor lead to the ball falling to Neil Taylor's feet, whose shot from outside the area managed to skid through the keepers legs and into the net.

But Dynamos crumpled just before the break when they let in three goals in quick succession. The first was minutes after N. Taylor's equaliser on 34 minutes after S. Burke had the ball chipped over him when one on one. The second in 37 minutes when the Catsfield striker beat S. Burke to a low cross in the 6-yard box to poke the ball in the net, and the third was on 45 minutes when Catsfield winger scored from the edge of the area to make the score 4-1 to the visitors and Dynamos looking shambolic and disorganised.

Lee Roberts, who had been carrying a knock, made way for Ben Curwood to make his debut at the break. Dynamos had a bit of reorganising and it seemed to stem the flow of goals, but only momentarily, and if it hadn't been for S. Burke in the Eastbourne goal, it could have been many more after a fine one on one save after what looked like it was going to be a certain goal.

Dynamos did eventually concede again though on 54 minutes when the Catsfield striker beat the Dynamos offside trap and scored on the half volley from just inside the area to make it 5-1. The visitors scored again on 57 minutes from a close ranger header after Dynamos failed to clear their lines.

Wayne Burke hit the bar on 70 minutes with nearly a repeat of last week's spectacular goal, and then L. Taylor failed to find the target with the awkward rebound.

The visitors score again on 73 minutes when the Catsfield striker manages to put away the rebound after a good save from S. Burke.

Dynamos did manage to cause Catsfield some problems down the other end, and they got their reward on 80 minutes when N. Taylor was bundled to the ground and awarded a penalty. N. Taylor picked himself up and calmly slotted away what was only a consolation goal, sending the keeper the wrong way for his second of the game.

Catsfield managed to continue scoring and when their striker rounded S. Burke before slotting the ball home after managing to avoid Dynamos suspect offside trap.

There was time for one more goal as the visitors managed to score right before the whistle with the last kick of the game when their striker managed to flick the ball on and into the net past the Dynamos defence and condemn Eastbourne to their harshest lesson so far.

The final score was 9-2, and this was the first time Dynamos had looked like they were not up for it. There was no fight, no organisation, and too much bickering and arguing from what is meant to be an Adults football team.

There weren't any positives that Dynamos can take from this game, and we can just hope that next week will have a team willing to fight for every ball and not going to give up. Injuries and people's work commitments are making manager Gary Taylor's job hard at the moment.
