Eastbourne Dynamos got their first game under their belt as they build towards the start of the league campaign.

A 4-4 draw in Steve Newson's first game in charge is a good starting point against a Division 2 side.

An own goal following Neil Taylor's cross was added to buy Lewis Colegate to give Dynamos a 2-0 lead, but Herst got back into the game with two goals before half time.

Herstmonceux took the lead just after the restart, but a good period for Dynamos saw them take the lead when Jamie Drummond finished off a good move, before Colegate added a fourth and his second.

Herstmonceux claimed a draw with only about 10 minutes remaining as their striker bundled the ball over the line.
