Eastbourne Dynamos face Athletic in their final preseason game before the competitive stuff kicks off next week.
Dynamos manager Steve Newson had a large selection of players to pick from. Dynamos started off as their manager would have wanted them to, calm on the ball and looking to play the easy ball, but this soon evaporated in the hot weather and their demon of long ball football kicked in.
Eastbourne seemed to be missing a midfield as Athletic won every ball in the air.
Dynamos went 1-0 down midway through the first half and Athletic continued to threatend while Dynamos never looked like scoring.
Dynamos started off the second half looking much better and kept hold of the ball for long periods in the Athletic half, but the home side always caused trouble for Dynamos on the break, while Dynamos could never seem to carve out any real chances.
Athletic put the game to bed with 15 minutes to go when they picked up a lose ball just outside the Dynamos area before it was headed into the far post.
Eastbourne Dynamos will have to improve if they want to pick up any points in their first league game next week, they were poor and seemed to be missing the hunger for the ball.
